Pay on Pickup is a last-mile alternative solution to close the deal for global-ready social eCommerce. Customers only have to pay when they collect their eComm Shop’s orders at 7-Eleven.
This design solves the long-term friction— incompletion in the commerce journey on SHOPS as in-app transactions are not available in many CVS-dominated markets, including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia.
When check-outs are completed on social media, payment and pick-up can then be done later at Convenient Stores, thus mitigating the financial restrictions and activating the full potential of SHOPS & MESSENGER for small businesses and brands.
